Triumph Beyond Reason – Meaning and Implication
When someone is described as having been triumphant, this usually implies an uncommon accomplishment of something amid great challenges or against insurmountable odds.
Otherwise, why would we say that you are triumphant?
To triumph, according to most dictionaries, means to win a great victory, an accomplishment, or achievement that is noteworthy.
Note that, it is not just a victory but a victory of extraordinary nature or magnitude.
But, let us lay a couple of foundations stones on the subject first; The matter, the journey, the triumphing, and the triumphant
The MATTER: The What?
This question of WHAT is being triumphed over is not usually just surrounding an incident or event although there is always a source of it all, a core root issue.
Rather it would usually be a series of incidents, events, or all off-shoot battles in between two factions, groups, even nations in what is really a WAR, that is, life affecting, life altering or even soul destroying.
The JOURNEY: The PROCESS – The fight
It is often a journey that feels like walking on hot coals, a deep pit that you must get out of yet walled with hot tar and no nooks and crannies to support your ascent out of the hell hole! This was exactly how it was portrayed to me in a night vision at the onset of that season.
For most if not all people that experience such It is a crucible season like King David described in Psalm 18.
So for those who know and have engaged God’s intervention, help, and deliverance, like David and many other Bible greats did, it must be for you, a season of travailing that you might prevail!
The TRIUMPHING- The CAUSE- The REASON – The PURPOSE
A victory would not be described as triumphing if it weren’t associated with a worthy cause or pursuit—something worth fighting for, worth “dying for,” or “living for.”
It is often ‘larger and more consequential than you (the protagonist in your story) and your own life’ as was the case in my own instance. and for my life!
This is where your Creator comes in. This is why we call on Him because through such seasons you are likely dealing with a lot more on your plate than you can grapple with.
We are told in I John 3:8 that, “For this purpose was the Son of God was made manifest that He might destroy the works of the devil.
So He becomes your perfect comrade in this real world, real life spiritual combat because in this season, you may be in a war with not just what your body or affairs are telling you but also with physical enemies you see and know but cannot fight back on their own terms, or defeat with their same games.
And even worse, how about the war within? The inner struggles and battles with yourself, the self blame, self doubt, faith attacks, self condemnation, all being concocted into the perfect cocktail for self sabotage!
I discovered that at this time, He MUST become everything to you. John the Baptist describes this in the best way I can think of- your “Me, myself and I” must decrease and He must increase, be allowed to take preeminence in all this concerning you.
This may sound easy enough on paper, but wait until He asks you too fast when you have planned a date out with friends, wait until tells you to separate or create boundaries with people you think are crucial to your life’s joy, or even existence.
That is when you will self-discover how little place He had in your daily life and decisions. However, give Him the preeminent place, you must because this is your most strategic battle posture; to SEE HIM as EVERYTHING and The Person you pass EVERYTHING by!
Then there’s the TRIUMPHANT one
For one to be described as having been triumphant over something or someone, there had to have been a contest and, in the matter of triumphing over them, the resistance had to have been measurably unusual or extraordinarily fierce, dire, consistent, persistent or relentless (Revelations 12:11, Revelations 2-3)
BUILD
BUT, friend, there are some uncommon wins in life that take more than physical abilities, bravado, or even genuine bravery itself.
So you might now be thinking, asking yourself, “If even good old bravery may not cut it, then what is the missing ingredient?” We’ll get there in a moment but for the moment let us lay the foundation and that foundation is laid within. Therefore let this mind be in you, not you pastor, brother, sister.
If a fight to the death is what it takes to overcome these insurmountable obstacles, and prevail in the series of battles to be won ,then so be it, fight we must!
SHIFT
In spiritual warfare conflicts, the opposing kingdom, the devil and his cohorts, are the aggressor/s and you often do not have to do anything wrong to them per se. Often it is enough that they can sense that you are not of their side and their master is able to send them on what may be a suicide mission for them, if he has sent them against a true child of God.
Satan is the adversary, the dragon of many heads, personified as Leviathan in JOB 41:1-34, the ruler of that kingdom and your archenemy and at the head and throne of that hierarchical kingdom just as God is on His throne in ours.
All the enemy does is about achieving any of these three things he can get done or all these ends, depending on what resistance he meets. Jesus lists as his core character traits- To steal, kill, and destroy-
For access into the victim’s life, affairs and environment, they usually will try to open as many cans and fronts as they can find a gap for, using the adversary’s core methods and moduses to achieve this.
Because satan the adversary and his minions know they will meet with resistance because of the God factor in your life. Their aim is to find any way possible to defeat you, their victim.
However, in your case as in most cases of warfare against the God-fearer, there are physical, visible, aggressors operating his kingdom’s minions, cohorts, agents, stewards, apostles and foot-soldiers acting as his arms and legs much like real demons do, except that these ones are by virtue of their nature are physically earth bound and therefore more limited than the demons.
However, these are earth’s most depraved outlaws who operate with disregard for God and holy things and never play by the human norms or universally accepted rules of engagement.
When these operate like we saw with Pharaoh in Exodus and Haman in the book of Esther or Sennacherib in the book of Isaiah, they are not deceived or, lost or hapless, ‘not knowing what they are doing’ like some like to copy Jesus speak about roman soldiers at the foot of the cross. Such are fully aware consenting clones, carriers, couriers and conduits of satan himself, the evil one, satan.
Job 3:8 tells us that there are those who curse days … experts at cursing — whose curses or cursing could rouse Leviathan.
They stop at nothing to achieve what the wish would happen to that child of God and to them nothing is sacrosanct, nothing too young, too old, too frail, too innocent, or too vulnerable to violate.
If that precious life or thing is found in the way of what they pursue, i.e., in their target or victim’s side of the fence, that person or thing is integral to their fight and must be destroyed too!
Many of them operate as one of the many ‘heads’ of this dragon and their desire is to consume and devastate the people of God wherever they come across them and as reported in Exodus 14.
Unfortunately, these reprobates can be found in positions of leadership and authority on earth, in secular Behemoth systems and even in churches.
So, never be fooled by their titles, positions, and smart outfits.
They are just demons in human suits, and in my experience, and as the Lord has often shown me and He has never been wrong, some of them are descendants of the nephilim (Genesis 6)
And, like the sons of pride that God called them in Job 41, those minions believe and act out the delusions of arrogance that their master lucifer and his demons feed them like he did in heaven and was thrown out!
But, Psalm 74:14, tells us that God crushed the heads of Leviathan, He is still doing this today.
Apostle Paul reiterates this to the Roman church in Romans 16:17-20
I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.“
At the end of the day, that journey, that season of your life, will prove beyond any doubt that whatever God spoke about any aspect of that challenge from the beginning of that journey through it all was always the truth, never what you were thinking or imagining that you are seeing or reading in that situation.
God’s promise to you is that through the process HE will teach you Himself by His Spirit and you shall get to know the truth from God’s perspective and the truth you get to know shall make you free!
CRUCIBLE MOMENT — peak intensity
So beloved, when you find yourself in such terrains, much like Jesus our Lord, on His gruesome journey to the cross that season, and situation, that problem or challenge, where the process is refining you into pure gold.
Then that journey is likely your personal crucible and you must take on the mind of Jesus who went all the way for you on His own journey and tell yourself that:
This is not just about you and me! It’s a Kingdoms Contest and I am being targeted because I represent the ever winning Kingdom! REPEAT this to yourself.
There is usually the context that the adversary is trying to influence or take over territory on earth—and that you or your specific destiny are in the way!
His usual calculated strategy is that, —by removing, ruining, or otherwise delaying you, the person in that plan of God, who have been given that part of God’s kingdom to process through, possess, and occupy on earth till He comes; he can then take the spiritual territory over, make himself lord over that space and then position his minions and agents as the faces of, or for that place or space on earth!
The victory that must be won or the outcome of that confrontation and what comes with it, is the reason for the push-back battles you must fight and obstacles you must trample on your way to your mountain.
The battles, resistance, and fires you encounter are usually about the nature, magnitude and the spiritual significance of your life and person and your role or part in the specific area, aspect, or territory of God’s Kingdom-come on earth.
Therefore let this mind be in You;
- You, who will not be stolen from, be killed or be destroyed,
- You, who must win and not lose,
- You who must prevail against all that has come to trample on your life
- You, who must live and not die, that you may serve the purpose for which you were put on this earth….
SCRIPTURAL PEAK
This means that, you must take this thought at the onset and run this race with it this thought;
“If Jesus went all the way for me, then so can I go all the way for His cause in my life.”
Therefore, if a fight to the death is what it takes to run the course of battles to be won, and territories to be taken, and to prevail against the powers of the enemy, then a fight to the death it will be—for me/you.
If others have been to such hell-holes, dens, or fires and came out to tell their story, then so can I too, and so shall I be saved too, because you know that after the dust has settled, the God of your deliverance and you will be the ones still standing, just as it was for Jesus your predecessor who went all the way for His and your God and Father.
The Bible describes this mindset, in Revelation 12:11 as “loving not their lives.”
It is the way of those who overcome and prevail in the final frontier showdown.
DESTINY REVELATION — Rising Hope
So, while that journey may be a severe or stormy crucible,
that season is also pregnant with your true destiny.
The trial does not define you, it clarifies your purpose showing you that you were meant for much, much more. (emotional lift) Again REPEAT this to yourself.
Remember this and remind yourself always
COMMISSION
Child of God, be encouraged to stand, resist the enemy based on your pre-ordained and grace-given profile, found in PSALM 112 and push through, to lay hold of your prize with eternity value in it!
That is the mark of your highest calling, the purpose for which you were placed on this earth.
IDENTITY SHIFT — Empowerment
Beloved, your testimony from this trauma and the process of your exit?
This is your message!
So as you are being processed into your mandate through this message that is your life and Let me remind you what and who you are NOT!
- You are not a prisoner of hell!
- You are no longer in those enemy guarded prisons without doors.
- You are not bound by any chains, that the anointing cannot break nor are you under burdens and yokes that God cannot destroy,
- You are not, and cannot be cursed, because God has already called you blessed and promises that He will bless those who bless you and curse anyone who curses you!
IDENTITY REVELATION — uplifting
Now, let me also remind you what and who you are and what He has already done for you to prepare you for the triumphant that you are becoming!
You are a prisoner of hope, not of hell, and that hope cannot fail to materialise because it is Hope in the One who can never leave you where He found you.
You are Blessed and anyone who blesses you and all that belongs to you is blessed THAT is a stated PROMISE of GOD in Genesis 12:3
You are already a mighty person of valour, an overcomer by the Blood of the Lamb of God and the word of your witness …says Revelations 12:11.
Your victories shall transcend human logic and you shall be led in triumph against all odds!!
You are becoming GOD’S signpost, a Beacon, a flagstaff on the Mountain of The Lord’s House.
You are the desire of the most handsome of men so
You shall be called a Delightsome Land, a walking sign and wonder, A trophy-pillar in the house of your God.
- You are a Word from the Lord to His enemies!
- You are of God’s triumph tribe!
DECLARATIONS — powerful affirmations
Believe this in your heart and confess it with your mouth.
- This too has come to pass and will pass on!
- This is a job for Jesus and I am just coming along for the ride.
- I am just the donkey He is riding on for this Triumphal entry, into my purpose and Destiny and like His rides always end, triumphant, I will be too, on His mountain and high hills of the earth!
- I AM coming out of this fire smelling like a rose!
- This trial does not define me. It is clarifying my assignment.
- I am born of the seed of eternity/ longevity and therefore;
- I will complete my God-Ordained time and finish my own assignment and work on earth! FOR HIS GLORY.
