This third is a crucial war weapon and still does the job.
Tip 3:
Get your mind/soul in agreement with what you believe, regardless of what you see, feel, or thoughts projected! Hmm!
A huge help to get there is this – Find someone of like minded faith and conviction, who has verifiably been through similar attacks as you are dealing with, who overcame them and are telling or have told their story. You do not have to know them personally.
I remember once during on of those seasons, when I was reminding God that He needed to save and help me because He was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and I heard that still, small, but firm voice of The Holy Spirit’s in response, to my declarations; “Yes , but I AM also the same God of this person, that and the other…”; and he reminded me of people I knew in that season whose testimonies I knew, who had survived harrowing trials and still living in fulfilment of God’s will in their lives and ministries.
My spirit caught the rest of that conversation and my famished soul latched on to that revelation- “…. you know them, you see them, they are still here and if I did it for them…….!
This was crucial to my firm and resolute TRUST in God’s ability and I though did not know my subjects personally, but I knew their story was true.
They and their testimonies are God’s witness to remind you that, what you may only have heard or read of Bible characters, or stories told by other people, the bottom line for you is to keep reminding your brain and inner man, that GOD is unchanging and impartial- what did happen before, does still happen today and is still happening to, and for ordinary people just like you today.
God was reminding me that while He was the unchanging God of our patriarchs, He is still available NOW for those who would trust him.
Friend, I cannot tell you how many tens of times that I answered the enemy’s voice with that same reminder! Whenever the enemy would remind me of those he had killed and defeated from trauma like mine, my inner man would rise up and remind him also of those that had been rescued by God, in spite of what had held them bound. Cut my Long story short, I am still here 16+ years on!
Indeed, just like the deliverances we read about in the Bible like Daniel’s, Mordecai and Esther’s, and just like David often described in his Psalms, there are those who are still being rescued, plucked out, and snatched back by the mighty arm of God just like you are expecting and hoping for.
Tip 4
Keep HEARING ( ONLY by the Word of God), SEEKING (Him only), keep SPEAKING (confession your own truth, that is – God’s Own perspectives and promises in your matter)- Even at moments when nothing makes any sense-The Word works!
Your fiery spiritual battles like mine may be of the shock-and-awe kind and multi-faceted, multidimensional and overwhelming. Like mine, it may also be as psychological as they are physical, manifesting in the most bizarre natural incidents and events that you never thought were possible.
Yes, like stuff you read in the Bible, as David was describing in Psalm 18 or modern stories of people who have told that they had confrontations with the infernal region, dark powers, arts, and their master devil.
This could be you now as it was me back then!
However, I have come to know that the same God that David recounted His deeds in Psalm 18: The God Who hears your call of ‘distress’ when you cry out to Him, your voice from His temple, your God Who will move the universe itself to save and help His Own.
That’s why God would oftentimes tell people in the Bible to REMEMBER the wonders that He had done in times past and we are encouraged by David, Asaph and other Psalmists in the Psalms, Daniel and the 3 Hebrew boys in the fire, and indeed the lived examples of all the Patriarchs, Sages, and prophets to never quit SEEKING.
That very God is The One Whom Isaiah 31:5 tells us will defend us and in defending us, He will also deliver us and in Passing over us when we could be in judgment, or when we could be judged, He also preserve us”
Call out to Him in your troubles Beloved, no matter what your case looks or feels like.
He does HEAR YOU and He WILL ANSWER you.
